About TCNS

Total Care Nursing Services (TCNS) is a Medicare/ Medi-Cal certified home health agency that is licensed by federal government and the State of California. We a trusted leader in providing clinical care and support services at home for patients of all ages.

To better serve the community, our home care and support services are managed by three separate divisions; Intermittent Care, Extended Care and Staffing.

Intermittent Care Services

Our Intermittent Care Service provides short-term nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, and assistive home health care services for public third party entities such as Medicare, Medi-Cal and Veterans Administration patients.

Home Health can cover a broad spectrum of nursing; Skilled Nursing and Certified Home Health Aides, Medical Social Workers and Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. Additionally, TCNS can arrange for the acquisition of durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies for our patients ranging from wound care visits to highly technical intravenous administrations.

Extended Care Service

Extended Care provides the same skilled nursing and therapy services as our Intermittent Care division, but primarily for private third-party entities such as large physician associations (IPA), and managed care organizations (MCO).

Extended Care can also provide customized private duty nursing or respite care services at home for adults and seniors dealing with injuries, chronic illness, or disabilities. These support programs provides non-medical assistance with activities of daily living for adults and seniors.

Staffing

Our staffing division is a byproduct of the staff shortage challenges that many facilities face every day. We work with several partners to provide healthcare and medical staffing services to skilled nursing facilities (SNF), long term care (LTC), assisted living facilities, independent living, hospitals, acute care centers, outpatient clinics, long term acute care centers (LTAC), and continuing care retirement communities (CCRC).

Total Care Nursing Service

TCNS is a certified home health agency, but you would never know that by our name. We have largely resisted the urge to identify ourselves solely as a home health agency.

That is because our agency was formed during a time when the health divide was far more prominent than it is today. Our core mission then, as it is now, was to champion access to quality health care for all members of our society. Inevitably, we became advocates for our patients and their fight for inclusion into the healthcare system.

What we discovered is that to be an advocate for our patients requires a commitment to a service range that is so much broader than home health. Today, our patients are without age, status or gender, and like our staff, mirror the culturally rich diversity of Los Angeles.
